Hublot has partnered with digital asset platform Ledger to create a Big Bang Unico chronograph with an exclusive crypto wallet.
The 42 mm black ceramic Hublot Big Bang Unico Ledger also features a bezel made of Electrum, a gold and silver alloy that was already used to mint coins 2,500 years ago, bringing together the oldest coins and the more modern in a single product.
Here, Hublot has used a 50/50 mix of the two metals, resulting in a stainless steel version of the metal, with the Latin motto “Vires in Numeris” or numeral strength stamped around the visible edge of the bezel.
“Having been the timing partner for January’s Crypto Finance 2022 conference in St. Moritz, it gives me great pleasure to present a watch today that merges the many tantalizing possibilities that connect high-end crypto and the mechanics of I firmly believe this is the year the watch industry will embrace cryptocurrency,” says Ricardo Guadelupe, CEO of Hublot.
The individually numbered 50-piece limited edition watch will be presented with a Ledger & Hublot Nano X cryptographic key, which will only be available with the watch capable of “safely encrypting, securing, managing and growing your crypto assets”.
Both elements are housed in a smoked black sapphire crystal presentation box. The Big Bang Unico Ledger is now available by Hublotpriced at US$28,300.
