MORRO BAY, CA / TAMPA, Florida. (August 2, 2022) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The IRONMAN Group today announced that the resort town of Morro Bay, California and the California Central Coast will host the all-new IRONMAN® 70.3® triathlon. The new IRONMAN 70.3 Morro Bay Triathlon is scheduled to take place on May 20, 2023, with general registration opening on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, by visiting www.ironman.com/im703-morro-bay.

The IRONMAN 70.3 Morro Bay Triathlon will take athletes on a 1.2-mile swim in Morro Bay, before heading to a 56-mile bike course lined with vineyards and ocean views through the hills of the San Luis Obispo County. A 13.1 mile run will culminate the event as athletes are greeted by the finish line along the Embarcadero in downtown Morro Bay.
