Peaky Blinders finale: Everyone says the same thing about the last episode of the story

The final episode of Peaky Blinders aired and fans of the show praised the emotional yet “satisfying” ending. Thomas Shelby, who thought he was living on a death sentence for tuberculoma, had a lot of loose ends to sort out.

Dr Holford, played by Welsh actor Aneurin Barnard, had told Tommy he had an incurable brain tumor and was in serious danger of dying. Tommy also learned that as the tumor grew he would continue to deteriorate, suffering from seizures and hallucinations.

But in the latest installment of the popular BBC gangster drama, Tommy finds out he’s been tricked, but not before a number of twists and turns and major character deaths, including his nephew Michael Grey.

Michael, seeking revenge, had been released from prison and out for Tommy’s blood. However, just as he tries to blow up gang leader Shelby, Johnny Dogs comes to the rescue, switches the bomb intended for Tommy, and Tommy ends up shooting Michael in the face. Viewers also watched Arthur avenge Polly’s death by shooting her killer, IRA captain Captain Swing, and Duke Shelby killing Billy Grade.

Just as Tommy is about to shoot himself in a caravan of traditional gypsies, the ghost of his dead daughter, Ruby, visits him and tells him that he “must live” and that he is not not sick.

After seeing her, Tommy finds a newspaper announcing the wedding of Lady Diana Mitford and Sir Oswald Mosley and sees Dr. Holford in a picture. He quickly realizes that his doctor has deceived him and that he does not have tuberculoma at all. Read about the real Diana Mitford here.

And it’s fair to say that the much-loved series, which first aired in 2013, has gone down with a bang as the trailer is set on fire, and Tommy is seen through the flames riding a white horse. It was all set to the backtrack of the song All The Tired Horses sung by Lisa O’Neill.

The episode also featured a guest appearance from Sleaford Mods singer Jason Williamson and saw a brief return from Alfie Solomons, played by Tom Hardy.

The official Peaky Blinders posted a picture of Tommy’s hat on betting slips and newspapers.

The message read: “Thank you for watching Peaky Blinders. Thank you to all the amazing fans who have been part of the journey over the past ten years. We couldn’t have done it without your support. Now we, Peaky Blinders , we rest.”

Fans took to Twitter to praise the season finale, with one person writing, “I have no words other than: amazing. This series, in particular, has been a masterpiece. Cinematic work. Can’t believe it’s over, what a ride. One of the best TV shows made and released with a bang,” while another added, “Wow Wow Wow. Just awesome. .

Another pointed out that the show ended where if it started with Tommy on a black horse, Georgia said: “Where it all started on a horse. Steven Knight, I love you. The end was the perfection.”

MoreoM said, “A brilliant finale for Best Show. While it was the weakest season, the ending was perfect. Cillian Murphy created one of the greatest characters of all time with Tommy Shelby!”
