Sports and music will lead Pattaya’s efforts to reinvigorate tourism in July.
Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, Thitiphan Phettrakul, presented the schedule of tourism promotion events for hospitality executives at the Front Office Managers Alliance (FOMA) meeting on June 29 in Pattaya at the Hotel D’Varee Jomtien Beach.
From July 7 to 10, the first event, the Pattaya Sepak Takraw Cup, will take place at the Eastern National Indoor Sports Stadium. The Pattaya Marathon returns on July 16-17 and a yet to be scheduled personal watercraft racing event is scheduled for the end of the month, she said.
August will see the return of the Pattaya Music Festival, spread over four weekends and held on Pattaya Beach and Lan Po Public Park.
The first Pattaya Trail Run will take place on August 13 while the Thailand Para-Badminton International will take place from August 15-21 in an indoor stadium. Finally, the Pattaya Local Speedboat Competition will be held at Jomtien Beach from August 19-20.
Thitiphan said there will be two or three events held per month until the end of the year to attract tourists to Pattaya.
