Subic Sepak Takraw site impresses sport’s top executive: best in SEA Games history
SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – A senior official at Sepak Takraw’s international governing body said he was happy with the preparations at the sport’s website here.
During a press conference on Friday, November 29, Abdul Kader, general manager of the International Sepaktakraw Federation, said that the Subic Gymnasium was one of the best sites for sepak takraw in the history of the Asian Games of the South East (SEA).
Sepak takraw will be played in the gymnasium from December 1-10.
Kader said he was convinced that the organization by the Philippines of the 30th edition of the Biennial Games will be crowned with success.
“I promise the Philippine government and the Philippine Southeast Asian Games organizing committee that sepak takraw will go without any interruption,” he said.
The Subic Gymnasium has been rehabilitated for the SEA Games. About 5.7 million pesos were spent on the new facade and the modernization of the interior of the gymnasium. Joanna Rose Aglibot
