Sunnyvale Community Briefs for the week of June 11 – The Mercury News
Sunnyvale Coin Exhibition
The South Bay / Sunnyvale Coin Show will take place on Friday and Saturday June 25-26 at the Domain Hotel, 1085 E. El Camino Real in Sunnyvale.
While there has been no South Bay coin exhibit since November 2019 due to the pandemic, interest in coins and collectibles has increased largely due to the dramatic increase in the prices of precious metals. Gold prices have risen over 36% over the past three years, and silver prices have increased 78% over the same period.
Show host Bill Green said coin shows “are a real benefit to people who own coins but don’t know what they are worth.”
Show attendees will see thousands of US, foreign and vintage coins as well as paper money, medals, tokens and supplies. There will also be a wide variety of silver and gold coins produced locally at the San Francisco Mint dating back to the 1850s. Over 30 dealers will be on hand to provide you with a variety of free, no-obligation expertises.
In addition to free evaluations, the Sunnyvale Coin Show offers free parking, a free coin raffle, and free entry for children under 12.
